With Us
The Karikari Lab works with academic groups, clinical sites, industry partners, and philanthropic supporters who share our goal of understanding neurodegenerative disease and bringing accurate diagnosis to communities around the world. Whether you are running a trial, building a cohort, preparing a grant, or looking to support research with global impact, we would love to hear from you.
Clinical Trials & Cohort Research
We bring deep expertise in fluid biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative diseases, from brain pathology and cerebrospinal fluid to blood. We partner with research teams and sponsors across every stage of a study.
Biomarker testing
We measure established and emerging blood and cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers, including phosphorylated tau species, to support participant screening, disease staging, and longitudinal monitoring.
Treatment studies
We support therapeutic trials with biomarker endpoints that help show whether a treatment is engaging its target and changing the course of disease.
Co-authored studies
We welcome scientific partnerships that go beyond sample analysis. Our team contributes to study design, data interpretation, and publication as co-authors.
Grants & Collaborations
Strong science is built together. We are open to joining grant applications as a collaborating lab, bringing biomarker expertise, established methods, and a track record in the field that can strengthen proposals on both sides. We are especially interested in projects that expand access to diagnosis in underserved regions, including through our work in Ghana and across Africa.
If you are preparing an application and think our lab could add value, please reach out early so we can shape the plan together.
Philanthropic Support
Philanthropic gifts help us pursue bold research questions and extend accurate diagnosis to communities that have long been left out of neurodegenerative disease research. Your support can help:
Advance discovery — uncover how Alzheimer’s disease begins and how it is reflected in blood
Train the next generation — support students and early-career scientists
Build global capacity — strengthen reference and expert laboratories in Ghana and across Africa
Start a conversation
Tell us a little about your project so we can connect you with the right person.
